Gold Calculator Guide: Convert Grams, Tolas, Karats & Total Value

Step-by-step guide to using a gold calculator for any weight, karat, and currency — avoid overpaying on jewelry and bullion purchases.

A gold calculator estimates value using weight × purity × live rate. Our free tool on the homepage uses the current price available to the dashboard.

Step 1: Pick your unit

Gram, tola, troy ounce, or kilogram — choose the same unit your seller quotes.

Step 2: Select karat

24K is commonly used for fine bullion, while 22K is common for jewelry in many markets. The calculator applies the selected purity factor.

Step 3: Enter quantity

For a 2.5 tola necklace in 22K, enter 2.5, select tola, then select 22K and compare the estimated metal value with the shop quote.

What the calculator does not include

The estimated value represents the metal value. Jewelry making charges, taxes, stones, dealer margins, and other costs may be added separately by a seller.
